Calculators that don't make you repeat yourself.

Precis started from a simple annoyance: every finance, fitness or health calculator online treats you like a stranger every time you open a new tab. Enter your salary on one page, and the next page has no idea who you are. Precis fixes that by giving every calculator in a niche access to the same lightweight profile.

How it works right now

Version 1 is intentionally simple: everything lives in your browser's local storage. There's no account, no server, and nothing about you is sent anywhere. Fill in a field on one calculator, and it's already there the next time you open a related one — in the same browser, on the same device.

What's next

An optional account is planned so your profile can follow you across devices, along with simple trend history for the numbers that change over time. Both are opt-in and won't change how v1 works for anyone who doesn't want an account.

Who's behind it

Precis is built by Tech Garden, an independent web development practice. If something on the site looks wrong or you'd like a calculator we haven't built yet, get in touch.
